The Questionnaire with Tanya Keogh

Strategy director, London.

To celebrate the spirit of curiosity, we present "The Questionnaire" – an interview series that offers a glimpse into the lives of those we admire.

Tanya Keogh is Strategy Director at Huxley, which represents talent and brands like Charli xcx, Max Richter and Francesco Risso, as well as A24, Asics and Mammut. We met up with her in the top floor of our London townhouse at 24 Berwick Street, to take her through our collection, and the questionnaire.

What did you have for breakfast? – Today I ran out of the house, so just managed to grab a flat white on route. I always prioritise a flat white at Lane 8 on the way to Clapham Common station. It’s the best coffee I’ve had in London. When I have more time, I have Greek yoghurt and berries or toast. What goes through your head before you dress in the morning? – It can often be an afterthought because getting the kids dressed and out of the house takes so much energy. My job means a lot of meetings and events though, so do try and take a bit more time and consideration on those days, which usually means popping on a heeled boot. What do you always carry with you? – Phone, Chantecaille lipstick, headphones for listening to audiobooks and a pen as I still like to write things down – it helps me retain information even if I never look at it again.

“London can serve you no matter your mood”

How come you do what you do? – Honestly, because I love it. All of our clients at Huxley have different ambitions and all our campaigns are strategically tailored to fulfilling that goal, which means every day is completely different. I have honestly never had a boring day in this role, and I am really grateful for that. I also work with an incredible team who are all so different, so always learning. I grew up in New Orleans, where music and the arts take centre stage, so it feels really natural to be working to support artists and the creative industries. What do you love about London? – Wow. There is so much. The amount of green space, the access to the rest of the world, the history, the endless choice of authentic global cuisines, the fact that “normal buildings” are so beautiful they would be a historical landmark anywhere else, the fact that almost all musicians and artists want to come and show here, how international it is…I could go on and on. I really love that it truly is the city of little villages. London can serve you no matter your mood. You can get lost in the parks, see the best theatre in the world, and go to a gig every single night – from rock to reggae. What are you most proud of? – Sounds cliché, but my family. I have two amazing, funny, kind, smart girls. Couldn’t be more proud of them. Do you dream? – Yes. Sometimes I have a reoccurring dream of being chased by tornadoes when I am feeling a bit overwhelmed, so it’s always an indicator for me to take a minute.
