How to take care of TENCEL™ Lyocell

Take care of your garments, and your garments will take care of you.

TENCEL™ Lyocell Care

TENCEL™ Lyocell fibers, derived from sustainably sourced wood, are soft on the skin, breathable, and manufactured through a closed-loop process that recycles water and recovers over 99% of the solvent.

1. Wash at no more than 30°C: TENCEL™ Lyocell is a delicate fabric, so it’s best to wash it in cool water to prevent damage and preserve the fibers' softness

2. Use a mild detergent: Choose a mild detergent for delicate fabrics. Avoid bleach or fabric softeners, as they can harm the fibers and reduce the fabric’s natural softness.

3. Dry flat: To maintain the shape and texture, lay your TENCEL™ Lyocell garment flat on a towel to air dry. Avoid tumble-drying, as high heat can damage the fibers and affect the fabric’s smoothness.

4. Use a cool iron if needed: If your garment needs ironing, set the iron to a low temperature. Always iron while the fabric is slightly damp for the best results without causing damage.

5. Gently stretch after washing: TENCEL™ Lyocell may feel stiffer after washing, but you can gently stretch it to restore its original shape. This will also help maintain the smoothness and softness over time.

Pro Tip: If your TENCEL™ Lyocell garment feels stiff after washing, use a steamer to restore its softness more quickly. This will help keep the fabric feeling fresh and soft.
